The Salt Lake County Kennecott Tailings Committee is seeking proposals from the community on what to do with the remaining money from the Tailings Study.

In 2008 Kennecott Copper Company dedicated funds to Salt Lake County to independently study the South East Tailings Impoundment. Funds that were left over were directed by Kennecott Copper Company to be distributed to entities within the community as deemed appropriate by the Salt Lake County Kennecott Tailings Impoundment Committee.

Dear Community Partners:

On Behalf of the Magna Healthy Community, we invite you to participate in the:

8th Annual Community Fair
“Health, Wellness and Safety”
Saturday, May 8th 9:00 am to 1:30 pm
Magna Fitness and Recreation Center
8400 West 3270 South

Since 2001, Magna Healthy Community (MHC) has been working to promote a safe, unified, growing, healthy community through education and access to wellness resources. This year Magna Healthy Community will again be co-sponsoring the event with The Utah Housing Coalition.

This event has had continued participation from service providers and community members alike.  Last year, more than 60 service providers dispensed information to nearly 1,000 community members.  We are hoping to have 75 vendors this year. The Fair will be a great venue for you to provide information to the community about the services your agency offers and is also a valuable opportunity to network with other service providers.

There will be a ‘fun walk’ kicking off the event at 8:00am sponsored by the Magna Lions Club. The walk will end at the Fitness Center to open up the Fair.

  • There is a $25.00 suggested fee for each exhibitor
  • Each exhibitor will receive 1 table, 2 chairs
  • Electrical outlets are available upon request on a first come-first served basis
  • Table skirt provided, please provide your own display and table cover
  • Light Snacks will be available

Please fill out and send in the registration by Friday, May 7th . Space is limited, so register early.
(Will will no longer accept vendors selling items, except for emergency preparedness items)

If you have any questions about the Fair please call the Utah Housing Coalition at 364.0077.

We look forward to seeing you at the fair!
